"However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [this kind of persistent] faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8)
Scripture says that it's yet a little while and He who comes will come and not delay. The promise of Christ coming through for His people is guaranteed. The question is whether when He finally comes through, will He find His own elect standing persistent at the place of prayer?
The widow in the parable stands out as a testimony of what persistent faith can do...triumph in the face of naturally impossible situations.
"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)
Indeed, there is nothing too hard or impossible for our God and those who trust in Him.
God not only upholds all things by the word of His power, He also works all things in accordance with the plan of His will.
"In whom according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:" (Ephesians 1:11-12)
He has a working whereby He does subdue all things to serve His counsel or plan. In view of that, be steadfast, immovable and continually looking up to God in faith.
Further Study: Luke 18:1-9; Hebrews 1:3-4;
Prayer: Father, strengthen my heart to remain persistent even in the face of delays and challenges and to know that ultimately Your counsel shall stand above all things. In Jesus name, amen.
